To the South African Australian community, music and dance is a big part of who we are. You grow up dancing and performing for your family. So when Lesley first discovered samba it was as if, suddenly, the world made sense. The drums, the colour, the energy. It spoke volumes. 

​

Without any formal dance training, Lesley began her samba journey with Amy Mills at LDA in 2013 and quickly progressed to the proteam level. In 2016 she competed with the winning team at ALDC. That currently holds the a national title. 
 

Lesley is also a seasoned creative director and designer, working with some of the worlds biggest brands like Vogue and Men's Health.
