Mum put me into ballet shoes when I was three and I danced around on my feet then graduated to on my toes until I was 18.“A dancers never can say they quit they just take breaks.”

 

I’m classically trained with the RAD syllabus. I began Samba back when my brother started to become serious with his Capoeira, he would have hodas with his group. When they were finished I would join in with the samba girls. I was never any good I just loved the live music and loved to pretend I knew what I was doing. I really only became serious to samba when I moved to Sydney and Joined Amy Mills in her samba Beginners at Latin Dance Australia.

 

Having done quite a bit of partner dancing also, it has taken me five years to master my basic and Change my posture completely. I never thought I would be where I am with samba today. I never thought I would be in this team but it’s the love of the team, the hard work, dedication, passion and just pure enjoyment I get from this language I call dance.

 

I have performed at many festivals, corporate and private events and have learnt how to become an athlete. I have an open mind with a sense of humor and greatly enjoy working with people who have a passion for dance.

 

An art director by day, dancer by night. Working on some world wide accounts from Philips Electronics Packaging to Aldi Super Markets and TVC commercials.
