Kathleen knows how to switch on the diva attitude when she takes to the stage.  A lover of dance, she enjoys mixing up her own flavour of samba with inspiration from contemporary styles and the moves of admired popular icons. With Portuguese heritage and a genuine passion for Latin dancing that runs in her family, Kathleen delights in sharing her love for samba when performing.  

 

Kathleen joined Latin Dance Australia (LDA) in 2012 as a samba novice and quickly developed the flair for the popular Brazilian dance. Since then, she has continued to work tirelessly on her technique and energy, under the guidance and coaching of World Samba Champion Amy Mills.

 

Kathleen became a member of LDA's Samba Advanced student team before being accepted into their Samba Professional & Show teams, as well as delving into the salsa scene, learning from World Salsa and Bachata Champion and sister, Katrina Quintal. Kathleen has won National titles with the Samba Pro Team and performed in various international Latin shows and festivals alongside Amy Mills. With a deep love for performance, Kathleen always strives to bring the "energia" to the stage.
